This fun story comes from All Access: -----------------------40 Freakin' Years?------------------------ [Lee is pictured with this caption: That's 434 In Dog Years] We're not sure there's anything short of eating or sleeping we like doing for 40 years -- but congratulations sure go out to LEE ROGERS, morning co-host at CBS Country KUPL/PORTLAND, OR, who is into his 40th year in the business. "A career that started in CLOQUET, MINNESOTA and has included programing and on-air positions at stations such as KCBQ/SAN DIEGO, KMPS/SEATTLE. KLAK/DENVER and for the past 14 years I have been OM and now Morning show host here at KUPL/PORTLAND, OREGON, said ROGERS. "At 62 years old, I'm still buttin heads with the young bucks!" ________________________________________________________ Congratulations Lee!

I would be remiss if I didn't give props to the guy who gave me my very first gig in radio back in the mid-80s at WCRJ-FM in Jacksonville, Florida. Thanks for opening the door, Lee (back when it was actually possible to get a gig in radio with little or no experience but lots of drive) -- and congratulations!

There's no doubt that he's one of my best friends, and a pleasure to work with. =)
