This really must of been something in 1961. I think the photo was taken during a Rose Festival Parade.

You can tell that photo was from a different era by the number of men who are wearing suits and hats--just to sit and watch a parade!!

That plane/car was for sale not too long ago. I did start a thread about it at the time.

The Aero~Car Parade using the Kisn heart logo must have been pre-June 1964. That's when the logo changed to the star design.

When I was working for KPTV I did a few stories for NW Reports. One was a profile of Molt Taylor, the Aerocar inventor. It was his last media interview. He never gave up on the Aerocar and blamed the federal goverment for making it difficult for him to sell many of the contraptions. At his death he was trying to get investors interested in a project to use a honda civic to make a new version of the Aerocar. It never (pardon the pun) got off the ground!

As a guy who did KISN traffic for a while in '72-'73 this would have been a kick to Fly in...

On the other hand, I did crash the old Green Ford Torino (I think it was a 1972) off the road just off Canyon road - I walked away -- (It was the ICE on road reason - not me the driver) Not so sure I would have walked away from this traffic vehicle... (aka G Michael McKay)
