Well, what they said would not happen IS! Lower lying areas in Woodland have been evacuated, the airport and trailer park are flooded and they are trying to put up the seawall that was built during the last flood. All of the dams on the Lewis River system have to open the flood gates to prevent water spilling over so the lower lying areas don't look good. I heard that I-5 in the Chehalis Centrailia area is once again under water and closed and the Kelso industrial area is gearing up for flooding as well. Get out the rowboats folks. |

You'd think after 1996, Katrina, last year's I-5 closing and the rain storm just a few days ago, we'd start thinking BEYOND dikes, seawalls and flood control. |

Yeah, I heard on the 6:00 PM news that they closed I-5 from MP68 to MP88. |
