LS - :-( it's been a horrific year for us Seattle sports fans.

Though as a Cougar, there is no more delight on this world than the Huskies going 0-12.

That makes it all worthwhile. Even Benedict F'n Bennett taking the Sonics to OKC.

Brian, I totally feel your pain my friend. When things get this bad, it helps to know that there is some hope on the horizon. I have been thoroughly enjoying the hot stove action at U.S.S. Mariner. Like you, I am really hoping for a positive direction in 2009.

The brand new MLB network has been an off-season treat too. For example, Don Larsen and Yogi Berra recently sat down together for the first time to watch their perfect game from the World Series of '56. The show included all eight innings of the surviving kinescope footage. It was hosted by Bob Costas and turned out really cool.

USS Mariner is good ... My over/under on Mariners losses this next season is 110.

Yes, they're that bad.

Sigh. I lived in Seattle when the A-Rodless Mariners won 116 games. I couldn't get a ticket to save my life. I tried whoring myself, nothing worked. Then they tanked in the first round of the playoffs. I swear, I couldn't watch baseball at all for the first six months of the following season.

And yes they are that bad again. They'll be lucky to finish above .300

I heard the Blazers are trying to get a Seattle radio affiliate. Hmmm.

UW football seems to be trying to re-create the USC coaching system.

And hope springs eternal for the M's.
