So let's hear it.....your least favourite radio stations. Those which make you want to reach for the tuning knob, hit the mute key--whatever you do--the moment you hear them. Those to which, by comparison, mere static/atmospheric noise would constitute a far more pleasing listening experience!!

Personally my least favourite would be Jammin'. That tops my list. (Incidentally, I don't think that one is *exclusive* to 2008.....)

All of the above are listed because these are redundant signals that are cluttering up the dial. I don't have a problem with LPFMs, translators, and even pirate radio stations that broadcast something that couldn't be picked up off the air (or would be very difficult to pick up). If K296FT were to rebroadcast KSLC or even KKJC, it wouldn't be on the list.

I'd say KHITS, because they were once pretty good, but now they've fired the air people who sounded talented and they've kept some who sound just terrible and so small market. Their music selection has become rather contorted.

KHITS has become a poster child for bad radio which disregards the Portland audience.

I like K-Love. A lot better than the Fish. The latter keeps playing the same songs over and over.

I don't listen to them and had no idea they have prayer requests until you said so. You must listen or you wouldn't know they do that. If you don't like it, don't listen. There are many other stations out there to listen to.

I don't like the way the local FM dial is littered with marginal signals from K-Love and Air1, but I think both formats are extremely well executed. They really do a good job. Between pledge drives that is.

Craig I listen to K-Love when I am driving because there is no smooth jazz on fm. At home on my computer I like smooth jazz. I switch back from that to NetOldies.com.

Just wait......I'm sure one of the subscription SDARS providers might be working on something like that, or at the very least entertained the thought..........

(Why not? They already have Grateful Dead, Dylan and Elvis formats. Hell, one of them [from what I understand] even has, or possibly had at some point in time, an all-Martha Stewart format...........)

The firing of Bill Gallagher alone makes KPAM the worst station of 2008. (Hendrie or no Hendrie.)

I think KPAM, overall, is one of my worst stations because I can hear it on my telephone, in the background. Sometimes not even that far in the background!

(On my 2006-ish Panasonic it's not so bad. On my Grampa's Western Electric 302 in the kitchen, it (and KKAD; they both are at the same Xmitter tower site) blast in loud & clear.)
