I see this morning that Tribune Co., whose holdings include KRCW Channel 32 here in Portland and both KCPQ Channel 13 and KMYQ Channel 22 in Seattle (as well as the Chicago Tribune and New York Times) has filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy. According to MSNBC, Tribune is $13 billion in debt.

I heard this story late yesterday evening on KGO, and I immediately thought of Lee Abrams. Abrams had resigned from XM, possibly because he was anticipating its merger with Sirius. He went over to Tribune, which is now in Chapter 11. Even Abrams can't escape disaster!
