Channel 22 DTV transmitter in on the air in Portland. See the SBE124 website for some photos of the antenna installation. Also, I understand they are looking for a Chief Engineer.

Did you try a fresh scan for channels... on my Sony HDTV I first tried "Add new channel" but it did not catch the change from ch4 to ch22 for these channels (it insisted that the ch22 digital channels were still on ch4-but with no signal). I then performed a fresh scan, and the Sony found the new ch22 transmitter, and everything worked fine. Some discussion about this on the other side under the topic "HDTV converters"

I did a scan about a week ago or so...redid one this morning on both TV's...wha-lah...now they both see all the 22's again. Now to get our local 17's with another antenna in the house positioned to the west Salem hills...

Bingo! On the other thread (about HDTV converters), Motozak 2 reported that the new ch22 digital was turned on early on Dec 3.

Comcast is supposed to add channel 22's new digital channels. I read about the deal between ION and Comcast.

Can you pick up Portland TV stations well in Salem? Analog or Digital?

In NE Salem we can...49 can be weak sometimes on my Sharp DTV and can go totally out. My RCA digital tuner in the bedroom TV actually picks it up better and I like the signal strength bar. Cannot pick up the ch 16 here.
