http://www.oregonlive.com/politics/oregonian/index.ssf?/base/news/12282747112330 0.xml&coll=7&thispage=2 Waiting for her husband's release, Cindy Sizemore approached a group of reporters and TV photographers in the lobby of the Justice Center. "Are you guys here to interview the political prisoner?" she asked. "That's what he is, a political prisoner. We're in the communist town of Portland." Heh.

I read that this morning. And Portland isn't communist. If we were, then we'd have killed him for no reason. But we didn't, because we're not one. Furthermore, it almost sounds like what they're trying to say is "rules should apply to everyone except me." All they wanted him to do was file some stinking tax forms. Shouldn't be too difficult if he has all this time to put the same ballot measures on the ballot every year. Here's one for someone: How about one that would require the Voters' Pamphlet to publish the criminal record of the candidates, petitioners, etc.? Would be fun to see what some of these "tough on crime" folks are really like.

I wonder if, from now on, future ads against any ballot measure Sizemore sponsors will feature pictures of him behind bars or in a striped suit? Could be bad PR to say you went to jail before you disobeyed a judge. Andrew

Yep. I hope this little pickle he's in forces the matter. I don't like out of state interests posting stuff up in Oregon, because of crooks like him. Andrew, that's gonna be sweet! If he ends up able to do another ballot initiative, that is the very first thing I hope we see. The out of state conservative dollars will probably just go to Mannix.
