I have moved to a secure compound in Northern Idaho. My wife voted for Obamanation, so I shot her with my assualt rifle; nothing serious, just a flesh wound to get her attention, but she's got a warrant out for my arrest, so I've gone underground.

I adore my new bunker! I've decorated it with lots of pix of my idol and mentor, RMN. I must admit that I've replaced a few pictures of dear Eve with some shiny new posters of my living idol, Sarah Palin.

There's not much ham-fisting going on up here, everyone is pretty honourable as we sit around cleaning our weapons with the kid's help and plotting our next move.

Not sure whats going on, but all I know is that on Sunday "Chinese Democracy" will be out at all Best buys. Im going to be at Bestbuy the Very second they open up on sunday morning. Spin Magazine is giving Chinese Democracy 4 out of 5 stars!I Infact most credible Music magazines are saying good things about the album!

Brian, of course I wish Slash and Duff were still in Guns n Roses, I think MOST people do, but that being said, there are some Great songs off Chinese Democracy! Have you heard the second single called "Better." That is an awesome song!
the fact of the matter is AXL Rose can write damn good songs, and it show because there are some very STRONG songs on this album that are very well written. This album is SOOOO much better than "Black ICE" BY ACDC. I'm a huge ACDC fan and I gotta say Im almost tired of there same predictable format. There is nothing new or interesting about "Black Ice" it is the same tiresome formula that they have been doing for years. "Chinese Democracy" has a lot of depth to the songs, and while they may not live up to true GNR standards they are still good! I've listened to the whole album, and I gotta admit, this is a VERY GOOD ALBUM!!
To Blindly come on this board and say that the album sucks without listening to the whole album is ridiculous! No its not the True Guns N roses, but it still has some great songs on the album!
This album is a lot better than I thought it would be. Is it the best GNR album ever? NO Way, but it is still good!

So its not the original GNR lineup. Well get over it! It's still a decent album and better than most of the rock thats coming out today.

I have a question regarding the future of this side of the board: if Dan is able to recover the old threads from the politics side, will these new threads be incorporated into the restored politics side of the board?

I was wondering that also.

Since a thread can be moved from one major forum topic heading to another, I suspect, if the lost threads are recovered, moving these into that group is no big deal.

Might be just an archive thing too. Pile the whole mess into the archives, leave these, and everybody carries on!

There were a few good discussions going on when the site crash happened, and I was hoping that some of those discussions could be resumed. It would be nice to be able to see the original threads, in order to reduce the "Wayne effect," if you know what I mean.

I noticed on the GNR article that Scott Weiland's new Solo album is not getting very good reviews. Thats too bad, I was looking forward to hearing it.
