I don't suppose they're at 1480 are they? Port-a-potties outside the building? Ducks hanging out in some club behind massively overgrown weeds?

98.7 KARO is EMF's "Air 1" signal for the Treasure Valley. In the 90's, Boise's "Arrow" 103.3 used the KARO calls.

I wonder if the "call letter god" is named Michael. If so, Dionne Warwick's been trying to get a message to him for over 40 years now.

This wasn't supposed to be a mystery. Craig Adams had a thread going awhile back, about old Portland call letters that had shown up elsewhere. I was just adding to it.

Anytime you see an application for a small town you didn't even know existed, you can be pretty sure it's from EMF.. that's their strategy for trying to get in under the radar and keep someone else from applying, you can also be sure they already have a plan for an upgrade request right behind it.

New calls for the new community 88.5 station in Salem that will hopefully cover it's main ADI. Was'nt KMUZ first used in Camas then in Astoria?

KMUZ & KMUZ-FM were simultaneously assigned to 1230KHz Gresham & 94.7MHz Camas on May 11, 1992. Technically Gresham was first since Camas was still a C.P. and wouldn't begin operation until November 1, 1992.
