WOW, look at the threads posted into on Thursday and Friday. TWO threads each day. That has got to be the lowest thread count in history, at least as long as I have been around anyway! It's nice that it got quiet in here but this is ridiculous! Do we not have anything to talk about when the trolls are not cutting loose? Is this just the quiet before the new president takes office? What Gives?

We're holding our breath hoping a Supreme Court Justice doesn't drop dead until Jan 20th.

Nah, don't worry; the Senate doesn't have to act on a replacement Justice now if they don't want to, should that be required. The Judiciary Committee can delay well past January 20 quite easily and surely they would. There is no requirement that the Supreme Court operate at all times with nine Justices. It can operate with eight if need be (though ties would of course be problematic if they happened). Nine is the number of Justices mandated by Congress to be in the Court.

One ugly thought I had the other day was, did the (P)Resident corrupt the Secret Service?
They are one of my favorite agencies of government. Non partisan, just protect the President(s) in return for them having served us. We won't really know, but I always wonder what they think of this whole thing.
They've seen and heard a lot!
When I saw this thread title, my first thought was, "Oh god! Another tribute to the awesomness of this little community followed by some minor league guilt trip over some cause." Glad that didn't happen, right?

I've got at least a few threads that I've been meaning to start, but I was away from the computer most of last weekend. As far as I am concerned, the Presidential election is over and done with, but there are many other interesting things to talk about.
