"Longtime Kenai, Alaska, resident Billy J. 'Bill' Rackley, age 78, died Oct. 6 at St. Elias Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska.

"Born Mar. 16, 1930, in Lancaster, Wash...Bill grew up in eastern Washington and then the Beavercreek area...He graduated with an engineering degree from Multnomah College in Portland Oregon and worked for KVAN, KAST, KWJJ (as Wild Bill) and KSRM radio stations..."

I remember KVAN 1480. Was that the station?

Assuming KVAN was the first radio job and based on his age and other information, I'd say he was on 910 because it fills in the gaps better. He's been in Alaska since 1976 so it could be 1480 but I lean toward the former. We know it isn't 1550.
