Geez, if one is going to readily lie on the spot about something that is EASILY debunked on the internet later to defeat an opponent, she truly must truly be the kind of slimeball we're trying to rid DC of. She said at a rally: " . . . You gotta listen to the tape," [of an interview with Obama by the SF Chronicle on the topic of coal energy] she continued. "Why is this audio tape just now surfacing?" Voices in the crowd could be heard shouting, "Liberal media!" "This interview was given many months ago," Palin told the audience. "You should have known about this." The problem is The SF Chronicle posted the entire interview on the internet, including a recoding of the entire tape. John Diaz, editor of The Chronicle's editorial pages, said the paper not only posted the entire audio and video of the Obama interview, but promoted it to readers. "How can anyone suggest that we hid an interview that we did, immediately put up on the Web - and advertised to our readers?" said Diaz. "We promoted it like hell ... and I'm sure the Clinton campaign and the McCain campaign scrubbed it. You can still find the whole 48 minutes and 33 seconds online."

Ah, let Palin and McCain say whatever they want now. In 48 hours, McCain should have already conceded and Palin will be working on her book and TV deals plus working on a pointless 2012 presidential campaign. Andrew

Is there lots of synthetic yellow liquid (Salt, Artificial Butter Flavor, Yellow #5 Lake, and Yellow #6 Lake) on that popcorn? You better watch out, that "Artificial Butter Flavor" is what will kill you! Diacetyl (IUPAC systematic name: butanedione or 2,3-butanedione) is a natural byproduct of fermentation. It is a vicinal diketone (two C=O groups, side-by-side) with the molecular formula C4H6O2. Diacetyl is added to some foods to impart a buttery flavor. The United States National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health has suggested that diacetyl, when used in artificial butter flavoring (as used in many consumer foods), may be hazardous when heated and inhaled over a long period. Workers in several factories that manufacture artificial butter flavoring have been diagnosed with bronchiolitis obliterans, a rare and serious disease of the lungs. The cases found have been mainly in young, healthy, non-smoking males. There are no known cures for bronchiolitis obliterans except for lung transplantation. While several authorities have called the disease "Popcorn Worker's Lung," a more accurate term suggested by other doctors may be more appropriate, since the disease can occur in any industry working with diacetyl: diacetyl-induced bronchiolitis obliterans.
