I've family members who are Red State denizens. They are just going off right now, and it's been very tough to just not hammer them.

I started by doing the fact check, post up counter points, WTF are you doing replies. Those are kind of ugly all around.

Lately, I've been a bit more general, stating that I don't want to vote AGAINST someone this year. It's too costly to continue to entertain the wedge issues (gays, god, guns). Having that debate is fun, once in a blue moon, productive, but only after we are running good again.

At least I didn't get four letter words in reply, and might have a shot at good conversation going forward.
