Here is what I don't understand.... Well, there is lots of things I don't understand but Herb and Wayne don't show up anymore.... In 2000 the EXTREME RIGHT Zealots threw McCain under the bus and in 2004 they skewered him into submission. WHY NOW? WHY NOW is he okay? He's good enough now? At 108 yrs old he is good enough now....? I for one don't get it... At one point I would have voted for him but his record with DUHbya lost my vote in a heartbeat.

McCain in 2008 was the "none of the above" candidate as Kerry was in 2004 for the Democrats. Basically, the Republicans fielded weak candidates in 2008; no candidate was loved by enough Republican voters to win big in the primaries. McCain was the most respected and least hated by enough people. He was everyone's 3rd or 4th choice, and that turned out to be more support than any one candidate had as 1st choice. In 2004, Democrats supported Kerry because he seemed like the best shot (military hero) at defeating Bush in a time when the country was still worried about a pending terror attack and still digesting the War in Iraq. Unfortunately, it wasn't a strong field for the Dems in 2004, either, and though Kerry was probably the best candidate running, few really loved him. People knew Howard Dean wasn't presidential. (You know the phrase "Dated Dean, Married Kerry?") Kerry was the best "Anyone but Bush" candidate. And that's a lousy way to run a campaign - it inspires no one in a positive way. McCain is the "anyone but Obama-or-Clinton" candidate of 2008. He inspires almost no one. Palin is much more loved by more people in the Republican party than McCain is. It's a sign when your VP is more popular than you are. Andrew

Its simple, This is all in the master plan of the Republicans. They dont really care about winning this election, every now and then they need to lose a battle to win a war. Its the Senator Palpatine plan.
