Do YOU have any tattoos,?? Please share if you do. Where are they and what are they?

I have a tattoo of Superman (the symbol) on my right shoulder.

I have 7... they are personal to me. Sign posts to my past. 5 of them are geometric symbols. 1 is Dark Side of the Moon's cover art. and the last is the head of Donald Duck.

Whats wrong with a tattoo???? Its a MEMORY! As long as its not onn your face I see no problem with them.

When You're old nobody is going to want to see you naked, regardless if you have tattoo's or not. So I really don't see the problem!

Oh, so THAT'S my problem! No wonder I haven't had a job since 1978. And you can't even see it.

Only tattoos I have are those I got from working at the Safeway Bakery Distribution Center in Clackamas many years ago, when I bumped into hot bread pans with my forearms while pulling them out of the oven. Nothing says 'forget me not' like second degree burns.

My wife has one of those from a pizza oven.

It's almost gone, after about 20 years...

I don't have a problem with tattoos. Clearly, getting them drawn on some body parts is a bad idea, like the guy that was in court with BUMFIGHT.COM on his forehead, trying to justify that website being OK...

For me personally, I don't have an image or memory to associate that warrants always being there. I think that's the only reason I don't have one.

Also, there has been a lot of progress on inks that can be removed. When that gets a notch or two more refined, I'm likely to try one.

Always thought the people that got cool asian character symbols on them (not manga, actual words) were taking a risk.

They go in and ask for something cool, like "honor thy mother" and come out with "I like boys", or "spank me please", or you know, something that's just not cool. Talk about the gift that keeps on giving!

The worst is the name of a BFF, or girl/guy friend. Some things never last.

On some people, and with some tattoos, I think they look good. Simple, timeless art, like a flower, chain, peace symbol, or the like, in a place where it's exposed in a non-public way seems to work nicely.

I think I would do something like that, if the time comes.

What I think is damn near criminal are those ownership tattoos. Some do it for military service and such. Ok, that's not me, but I can see doing that. Others do it for gangs and other dark cult type associations.

When it comes time to clean up and just be an ordinary person, those are horrible.

And that's perhaps why I've not done one yet. I need to be able to look in the mirror, after having cleaned up and see KSKD, not some iteration of KSKD that's marked.

To me, enduring changes to ones own self come at the cost of not being able to "reset". And if that tattoo was done for a reason that really isn't as enduring at the tattoo will be, then it's a problem.

In the army I was given the old Cattle Prod, straight to the ass cheek. Boy did that burn! Its not much of a tattoo, but a very cool looking burn design. According to the Mrs, It gives my bum "Charector"

Which is much better than having "Charectum".

Although, I've always joked that if I were to get a tattoo, there are only 2 that I would ever do.

One; If I ever had surgery, I'd have the scar tattooed to look like a zipper.

and two: Right above my arse, I'd get tattooed "Exit Only"!!

The one I can't tell ya about is the one that says " I LOVE TRIXTER'S MOM! Its on my left butt cheek. Sitting right next to it is a bright red pimple!

My mom loves you to Beans! She would like to at least take a bath tonight when you come over for Christmas eve! And she would really like it if you wash that Michael Bolton concert t-shirt! She doesn't like the way it smells after a long 14 hour shift at the 76 station.
She would also like it if you took care of that boil on your ass as well since she's afraid you might get a staph infection....
She says she will see you around 7pm tonight!
Don't forget to bring the Night Train and Mad Dog 20/20!!!!

Im working at the 76 station 14 hours a day, so YOUR mom has a nice house and plenty of food to stuff her face with. (Maybe if your mom would get her dead butt off the couch and find a job, I wouldn't have to work 14 hours a day. BUT NOOO, she wants to sit on the couch eating Bon Bon's and watching soap Operas all day. If It wasn't for me working 14 hours a day, she would have no Bon Bon's to stuff her face with. Heck, if it wasn't for me working 14 hours a day she would have no house, she would be out on the streets with the other meth addicts. By the way, Im planning on getting her over to a dentist ASAP!!! Her grill is pretty jacked up. Did you know she is missing her two front teeth? She also has yellow stains on most of her teeth.

No tattoos or piercings here, I don't mind them, just not for me.

What so many kids who get tattoos nowadays don't realize is what those things look like when you get old and body parts sag. We were talking about that last night at our neighbors, a friend of theirs has a tattoo around his belly button of a cat's ... erm butt. With you guessed it being the belly button.

Imagine that thing 30 years and a few pounds down the road! Eeeep!
