I caught this via Crooks and Liars. It's a video blog, and I believe was first significant effort of it's kind. The segment is mostly about Republicans picking on Republicans, but Lars stood out. Some comments from the blog:

is just another walking talking point, period. Do any of the mindless pukes on the right ever have an orignal thought of their own? If they ever do it will die of loneliness.

Is it just me or does anyone think that Lars Larson-(that can't be his real name!)is a real asshole? I didn't see anyone comment to say that. Well here it is. He's an asshole. Never have I heard him say anything that is well thought out, rational, and believable.

LOL!!

Now I like Lars. Always have. Two things about this struck me. One was that Scotty just talked over him a coupla times. The other was Lars really is, quite often these days, a walking talking point.

When the Republican George Bush was selected for President in 2000, Lars jumped on the bandwagon all the way. Prior to that time, his program was strong Republican, but not so much the shill type Republican.

Haven't enjoyed the program as much because of that.

You guys?

After thinking a bit, I've come to realize it's time for Lars to go Independent. He does not like McCain all that much, and I know living in the Democratic camp isn't gonna fly, so why not step out of the mud right now and focus once again on what is good for Oregon politics?

This is his passion, however misguided it has turned by the allure of the GOP. When I saw Scotty talk over him, I realized a lot of that passion is gone. It's easy to shill when the benefactor of it is in a position of strength. It's profitable too. Now that's gone, so why bother anymore?

So that's it really. How about it Lars? Step away from the talking points and just start posting up solid positions on the issues. I can't think of a better time, can you?
