Has the local Cumulus stations started downsizing again ?? I know they are pretty lean as it is. |

Pdx radio does not have any stations owned by Cumulus. I'd say that was pretty lean indeed. |

It is happening all around the country at Cumulus stations. I just moved back here from Topeka, KS, and I still check the Topeka Capital-Journal website to see what's going on. As it turns out, the Cumulus knife slashed four popular DJs, including "Radio Rich (Bowers) and LouAnn," a long-time country & western morning team who'd been lured away from local another station (with much fanfare, too) just a few years ago. SO I'm guessing Eugene has not had any layoffs due to economic slowdown. Thats a good thing, they are very lean to begin with. |

All around the country Cumulus is cutting positions at stations, sometimes as many as nine at a time. I very surprised they did not start with smaller markets and work thier up. |

San Francisco, Atlanta, Cincinnati, Nashville, Houston, Dallas, Kansas City are all Cumulus markets. Eugene isn't even close. |

Eugene is and always has been a small market to all in broadcasting. From R&R, Arbitron and everyone else. |
