What does everyone think? Should KGON play a brand new song from an old band that sounds like a 70s-era rock song? I've always said "classic rock" is more of a sound than an era. This song fits the KGON mix so well that I might assume it was an old obscure AC/DC song if I didn't know better. |

I haven't heard the song, but I see no problem with KGON playing a new song by a classic rock band. |

We've been saying that's an acceptable and welcome way to expand that library for a long time. |

It just occurred to me that I didn't mention that KGON IS playing the single, in case you didn't know. Hearing it on the radio is what promted this thread. It seems like we all agree that this was a good move. |

I was at the gym today, and I saw a Father and son working out and they both had ACDC "Black Ice" T shirts on, with the ACDC Logo in huge letters. It was actualy quite nerdy that they were both wearing matching ACDC shirts. But this got me thinking of what great marketing experts ACDC are. They remind me a lot like KISS(except have better music) in all their marketing deals. They even have ACDC lunch boxes at Fred Meyers. Thats right, you don't want little Johnny going to 2nd grade without his ACDC "Black Ice" lunch box. |

I saw the best ACDC cover band a few years back In San Fran. It was an all Chick AC/DC band that called themselves AC/D-she. These Chicks Rocked! |
