This from All Access:

--------------------------Jack Narz Dies At 81--------------------------

Condolences to family and friends of longtime TV game show host JACK NARZ, who died WEDNESDAY of complications of a stroke in LOS ANGELES at 81.

NARZ began his career at KXO-A/EL CENTRO, CA after serving in WORLD WAR II, working at several stations before moving to TV as an announcer for "QUEEN FOR A DAY" and "SPACE PATROL." He was the host of "DOTTO," a CBS daytime/NBC nighttime game show that was one of the first casualties of the quiz show scandals of 1958, although he was not implicated in the cheating and hosted several shows after that, including "SEVEN KEYS," "BEAT THE CLOCK," and "CONCENTRATION." His brother, TOM KENNEDY, is also a longtime game show host.

I remember when I was in third grade in north Seattle, every day that I would walk home for lunch, the ABC game show "Seven Keys" would be on with Jack Narz as host. If someone got the right key, it would open into a display with all kinds of fabulous prizes. Fun to watch and Narz was an enthusiastic personality.

Hey Johnf! I used to watch Seven Keys while I was home for lunch too! I'd forgotten all about that show until reading this thread. Never had any idea Jack Narz and Tom Kennedy were related...

That Dotto show sure turned out to be a scandal. I read where the guy who complained never appeared on the show at all ironicly enough. He had noticed one of the contestants being given the answers ahead of time. It reminds me of a Happy Days episode that had the same theme.

HA! Scott's post just goes to show how TV oriented we Baby Boomers were even in our early days. If we got our TV fix we were able to face the rest of the school day...:-)
