Palin's house and the Wasilla Sports Complex have some suspicious connections:

They start the story about 2 mins into the video.

As Bush strategist Matthew Dowd says, while claiming John McCain new he was putting the country at risk by selecting her rather than selecting the person he wanted for VP:

"To me it is like Halloween," he said. "You get energized by eating all that candy at night but then you feel sick the next day."

And she hasnt figured out who the hecklers are yet either. 20,000 people at some race track in NC or Virginia someplace and the ones in the back couldnt hear her. They were shouting "louder , louder"...and she retorted her canned line about " I hope you people over there appreciate the sacrifice your Military is making for YOUR right to protest "

A scathing editorial called, "Palin vindicated? Governor offers Orwellian spin" ran in the Anchorage Daily News this morning, along with the revelation that Troopergate is far from over. Further proof that she does not read the papers came out when she claimed to have "nothing to lose" on the Limbaugh show today. She may never see the inside of the gray-bar hotel for her ethics violations, or for the violence she has incited, but the Governor's mansion might be a short stay whether she wins in November or not.

Absolutely that's gonna happen.

All it takes is enough Republican pain to make it happen.

They do this every 30-40 years, and we make nice gains as a result. Almost as if we need to be reminded that things really can suck, right here, in our adults lives, today.

I've seen enough to last, that's for sure!

Well, Dr_jonney, before you get *plonked!*, (and it's absolutely gonna happen!) welcome to PDXRadio and I hope you enjoy your stay. Lots of great, intelligent and articulate people here. You might consider rising to the challenge. Will do you some good.

Obama has been campaigning for almost 2 years for President. Anyone who pays attention knows exactly what he really stands for. Those that keep on asking "who's the real Obama?" either aren't paying attention, or they're closet bigots.

Man, I just can't let this go:

[I've received] "hate and discontent".

Bull. (and that's being really nice)

Broadway, I challenge you to cite even one instance of hate!

Discontent? Absolutely. Say stupid shit, and you will get called on it. That happens. Happens to all of us, and it's a damn good thing.

Why?

Because if it's painful, then there is some incentive to grow past it, become stronger and better for the experience.

There have been no instances of hate. None. Not one.

Conservatives play this card all the damn time. Say something stupid, then get called on it, feel bad, but rather than actually man up and consider why they feel bad, they prefer to level the charge of hate and change the subject and avoid actually accounting for the stupidity.

Am I wrong?

Ball is yours man. Show us the hate, or admit you are just feeling bad and don't want to face your stuff.

See, that's where you don't get it. YOU think its nothing to cram your fist all the way down someone's throat. That's why your posts often results in a verbal assault response from us.

Heck, go to any balanced open discussion board and you'll get the same response.

Yep. We might have had Ann Richards in the White House, but instead we settled for Bill Clinton. Then, the Democratic party walked away from her and let the shrub take over Texas. We all know where that decision led this country. Thanks for nothing Democrats!

I think if Hillary had won the nomination, she would not be in the position Obama is in today. Cowards don't nominate the candidate with a vision and a plan to win.

I think a lot of what we're seeing in the faltering of the McCain campaign is that the GOP was all ginned up to run against Hillary, then was put off balance by not knowing how to run against Obama.

Seems like they've been trying to run against Obama the same way Hillary did.

As frustrated as I was with Hillary's campaign, I'm now very thankful to her.
Obama is in a much stronger position because of it.

If McCain really wanted a good conservative women, he should have gone with the governor of Hawaii who was also the mayor of Maui. She is so much smarter than Palin, so I am glad McCain was not smart enough to tap Lingle.

RBM, how do you know that McCain didn't offer it to Lingle, and she said no? I get the sense McCain was determined to get the game-changing female VP candidate, probably approached quite a few more qualified women, but Palin was the the only one blind/stupid/ambitious enough to accept. That would explain her clear lack of vetting.

edit add: And considering the way McCain likes to be flanked by hot biker chick types like Cindy, Palin makes even more sense as his ultimate pick.
