When I was in Pendleton a couple of weeks ago, on the 67kHz SCA channel of KRBM I heard several short bursts of what sounded like the SAME code occasionally transmitted on NOAA weather stations. These data bursts seemed to happen about once every minute or so. |

So what I am curious about is: could the noises I was hearing on KRBM-67 have something to do with EAS? |

Sounds like it could be Microsoft's data service. Generally 2 stations per market have that on their 67 kHz sub. |

I doubt if MS is in Pendleton. Probably TX site metering data. |
