That's true! If people would have kept there money in the Stock market after the 1929 crash, they would have recouped all their money by 1962! So if you don't need your money until 2041, You're going to be just fine.

Not I. I figured I'd need the money one of these days, so its all in "safe" FDIC-insured accounts. I have been going to school, however, so right now is "those days." (I figure I'm not missing much right now, unless I want to agree to get paid crap and treated like crap, as discussed in the thread on the Radio board.)

Well somebody is losing. Retirement Savings are looking pretty grim.

Heh...

If you don't have much, you can't lose much.

(grabs popcorn bowl to watch free fall)

At some point it will settle. However ugly that is, we then build from there.

IMHO, clearly if you have investments, it's probably very smart money to get some good advice and or take on a lot of cheap risk right now.

Oh, and you can and will absolutely lose if you don't sell. Go and ask all the holders of Enron paper, for example.
