No way. If california gets walfare from uncle sam, then the other 49 states would have an emergency too. Forget it Arnald. Mabey if California wasen't spending so much money on Ilegal's walefare benifits. They could get by. |

With the money that is made in CA it's ridiculous that they should have budget problems. Maybe they need to raise the taxes on millionaires. |

There is no differance between someone stealing your money from you with a gun. Or taking money under false pretenses. Legal citizens are eligable for benifits, this is a good thing. People who take benifits, who are not legal citizens are lieing thiefs, and felons. If you went to a different country where you are not a citizen and the goverment is not going to help you. Legal citizens pay taxes. And i don't care what anyone thinks who dosent support the rule of law. period. |

Your credibility is lacking due to your poor grammar and piss-poor spelling. |

If that's the best argument you can come up with. so is your credibility. Lawyers pick apart a police report for spelling and grammar errors when their client is guilty as sin. think about it. |

And Washington St has something like 2.9 billion shortfall for next bienium? Why cant Gregoire just file some 3 page document like the President did and get bailout money from the Feds? |

With the economy the way it is, Washington won't be the only state facing a budget shortfall. |

If you read the article, CA is not needing the money because of a budget shortfall, it's needed to pay the bills today because they get a lot of their revenue later on in the year. |

I guess the state of California sees the federal government as a Pay Day loan operation. I can see Governor Schwarzenegger saying, "If you lend me $7 billion dollars today, I'll gladly pay you on Tuesday". |

Amen to that. The News said tonight that California usually does this for the beginning of its fiscal year. But CA has required more and more loan money to pay the bills over the years. They keep spending money on things like infrastructure of Green Energy projects and other special very expensive things that keep that state running in the red. |
