I have been listening to it all day and am wondering if its dropped the MYOL format. I hear "americas' best music" instead. I remember 1520 doing the same thing.

They have added new Sunny 1550, KKAD jingles that sound similar to the package that Sunny 1520, KKSN had. Isn't KKAD's format from the same satellite provider that KKSN had? Ed Brand is on now and he was on 1520 too.

KKAD is typically in the 1 share range, better than most AM stations.

Me. So that's one more. Also figure whomever should call me on the telephone and if/when I should put them on hold, so there's some more listeners right there.......

(I dunnow, does Arbitron usually consider inductive RF noise in the telephone line going through to the other end as a way of increasing audience share? ;o)

I'd listen to KKAD, if they put a little more signal into Milwaukie.

With a properly functioning radio and antenna, unless you live on top of 1520AM, you should be able to hear KKAD pretty well. It's 50kw non-directional so I don't see the signal getting much better.

KKAD or should I say KVAN-AM signal. Was meant for Vancouver/Clark County back in it's heyday.

I get a very decent signal on 1550 in Hillsboro during the day. I am their third listener (that is under 65 years of age). Hey, I'm an old man at heart!

I notice it's pretty fair here during the daytime. I'd previously only tried it at night.

In Milwaukie, you are pretty close to the null of KKAD's night pattern. See http://www.radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/pat?call=KKAD&service=AM&status=L&hours=N There is a 1550 in San Francisco that KKAD has to protect.

Have cousins that live on NE 41st, Vancouver. RF traps everywhere in their house.

I wish it were on FM somewhere. KJWL in Fresno has it on FM and does well. They play the more recent tunes as well as the older stuff.
