Just out of curiosity, what kind of real ratings does Lars Larson enjoy {or not} on his local show? How does his national show do? How many affiliate cities for his national show?

REAL ratings?

Sounds to me like you're looking for a certain answer and are ready to dismiss the one you get if it doesn't meet your belief.

Check his website. It lists affiliated for both his Northwest and National shows.

I listen to his national show. He never has a lack of callers! It's the same format as the local show.

Does Lars beat Limbaugh and/or Hannity in the Portland market? Anyone know?

Limbaugh for the hour they compete, no he doesn't, but it's only one hour of the four that Larson is on the air.

I don't know about Hannity.

And to get better ratings Lars pulls out the racism card, like he did today.

I'm pretty sure he's lost stations since taking over that national slot. It seems to me the person who had it before him had over 200 stations, so he isn't EVERYONE'S cup of tea.

Lars got the National Show from Westwood One when Laura Ingram refused to do her show at night anymore.

Since Larson was the only live talk show when Schwarzennagger annouced on Leno that he was going to run for Governor, they remember how well he did that night and offered him a National Show after Ingram quit.

Since getting the National Gig he has losted several stations who have flipped over to Savage who is also live at the same time Larson is.

stations flip national shows back and forth all the time. Its not the talent, its who can get the most for the money and since TRN is more cost effective than WW1, stations go with TRN. Both Lars and Savage's shows are equal. One doesn't over shadow the other. Personally, I like Lars better.
