KPAM started carrying the Laura Ingraham show yesterday 8-11 PM. This moved Neal Boortz to 11 PM - 1 AM and Phil Hendrie to 1 AM - 3 AM. From now on, I will be listening to Hendrie on KIRO. |

NO WONDER I couldn't pick up Hendrie last night in the car when I was driving home from Eugene! I thought, "Wow, KPAM sure comes in crappy at night even 30 miles from Portland - some other station is bleeding in!" Actually I could get KIRO 30 miles south of Portland even better than I could get KPAM; I could barely hear it was a woman's voice, let alone Ingraham's. |

Maybe KPAM could sign off at 8pm and come back on at 6am. It could save some money. |

What I want to know, who are the guys that tape delay the shows on KPOJ & KPAM? |

Are they really tape delaying? I thought everything went into the server and they play it out of the server these days. I thought KPOJ and KEX used Prophet systems and everything plays out of it. I have no idea what KPAM does. |

Uh, yeah, people don't mean actual "tape" anymore; but "tape delay" is still an expression. |

There has to be something more appealing for evening listening than Laura Ingram. There whole post 8pm line-up seems like a waste of good air time. KEX seems to do well with less political fare after 4pm, maybe KPAM should follow suit. |

The FCC website shows a CP to increase from 5000 to 15,000 watts nighttime. |

Where on the KPAM website do you see anything about a power increase? |

I was wrong about 10,000 to 30,000 watts. My mistake. |

For those asking about what KPAM does for automation, they are using ENCO (http://www.enco.com) with about 12 workstations and a server. Their boards are SAS and they do use delay on live shows. |
