I've seen this change over the years. Once upon a time, it was R&R (printed edition), but today I would say it is "Allaccess.com". (Hint: if you're at work, turn down the volume so the allaccess "chime" doesn't blare. Not that anyone would ever look for other work on the clock!) |

AA has not so many on air positions. Then, nobody does. Elko Nevada is ALWAYS looking to hire. Depends where you want to be... If the PNW, the OAB has far more listings than the WSAB Also if you don't mind the Evil empire CUME and CC websites list their own (usually hire their own as well) Best way still remains WHO YOU KNOW! |

Notice how many Promotion Director jobs are out there. I have a theory...that job is one of the most demanding in radio. Qualifications: Must be creative at all times, must be willing to work anytime, including nights and weekends, must be willing to be the go-between programming and sales, must be willing to understand the "needs" of air talent, must be willing to lift heavy promotional items and carry them long distances, and best of all work for low pay, many times part-time. Perfect! On the bright side, stations that treat this job seriously, it can be rewarding. Unfortunately, not that many do. |
