You're probably hearing the 107.1 translator for the station on 103.7, the former of which is fairly new.

Definitely miss something. Capitalization. Comma. Apostrophe. Pronoun. Other than that everything else seems to be there.

No, Fresh, I haven't herd of it. Matter of fact, I haven't even heard of it, either......... (Nope, nothing really comes in on 103.7 at my apartment, with the exception of sideband noise from KKCW. ;o)

Isn't it just about time for everyone to stop being mean? You all hide behind your keyboards and are the tough guys. Hey! Guess what everyone! Radiohustla/DJFrresh doesn't spell, capitalize or punctuate very well. However even with all that, everyone who isn't trying to just be obnoxious understood what he meant. So how about everyone just stops picking on every flaw. At least *HE* is trying to discuss radio! Yeah - okay - maybe what this board has become is just another place for online bullying - great - that's a nice media buzzword these days - thank you all for playing. Now, Radiohustla, to answer your question. I hadn't heard of that station either, but Semoochie seems to usually know what he's talking about I bet he hit the nail on the head. The rest of you are now free to return to your playground antics.

When I loaded the thread, I was listening to Danity Kane's "Damaged," courtesy of C-89.5's online 32k feed. Anyone got a first aid kit handy, but to fix a broken brain?

......Isn't it just about time for everyone to stop being mean? Not mean, just going for the cheap laugh. The questions posted by Dj radiohustla fresh are usually answered. To address other points in your post, Many of us ARE NOT hiding and contact info is provided on a profile page. Most of the writing flaws would be overlooked were this poster to do more than hit and run. (he) DOES NOT discuss radio but rather starts threads with questions or comments, then never responds. Therefore some people tired of the antics have questioned the purpose. Most of the readers WELCOME the discussion of various radio related topics. The key being DISCUSS, which would require a follow up reply by the original poster, in this case being radiohustla. I hope this explains the "mean" behavior that you perceive. I am sure it is not meant as mean. This is, of course, a "POLTICALLY CORRECT" world that we now live in, and because one person may be offended, everyone else must conform. Ok you guys, KNOCK IT OFF! There, problem solved.

Motozak2 says: "nothing really comes in on 103.7 at my apartment" Try the Portland translator on 107.1, should come in fine in Vancouver. See post by Semoochie (second post in this thread). KXPC 103.7 is a Lebanon station with 2 transmitters that can easily be heard in the Portland suburbs, but may be weak in Vancouver.

Well, I have gotten "Rockin' 107" from St. Helens on 107.1 before, but that was years ago. (Think, about a decade or so when I was in Jr. High, on a DX375, at my parents' house not too far from KKAD/KPAM....) I'll need to give it a try, as I really haven't monitored that frequency in about that long. Thanks Jr. ;o)

"Rockin' 107" from St. Helens on 107.1 Huh? I missed that one...Did St. Helens have an FM station? There is a 107.1 (KRQT Rocket 107-1) in Castle Rock, is that possibly the station you heard?

It might have been......I imagine at that time, they must have had their transmitter in Castle Rock and been targeting St. Helens. Kinda' like what KNRK does, having its transmitter in Camas and targeting Portland. I do remember they would ID the station on-air as being in St. Helens. Imporatnt to note, the last time I really listened was around 1996-1997 or so, and I don't really remember much else about it. Last song I heard on there was "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer" by George Thorogood, wondering Jeez, when does this song end? (Of course, that was some time before I'd gotten used to hearing Electronica compositions and Classical pieces that were well over 15 minutes in length...... ;o)

KNRK transmits from the Stonehenge site in the Portland west hills: http://www.fcc.gov/fcc-bin/FMTV-service-area?x=FM621795.html Camas is only the "city of license". In the west hills, Camas, Scappoose, Beaverton, Banks, Gresham, Lake Oswego, are located no more than 3 miles apart. (RF energy is said to shift the time-space continuum).
