Part of this idea came about after a meeting with Dan Packard. He brought up my research project of 10 years ago on radio station slogans. Later I was thinking about all the changes since then and all the slogans that have been recycled. Thought it would interesting to list all the slogan moves. This list grew longer than I ever thought. Post any additions over looked. Brade: You're missing the point. To list any of what you've mentioned, those slogans would've had to have been used on an additional frequency.

Right you are, Craig. Sorry. I was scanning a bit fast. How about KYTE Classical 101, back (all too briefly) as KYTE Classical 970..... Also, KYXI was "KYXI News 15" before or after, probably before, 1520.

If you really wanted to get exotic, what about station slogans that were translated into other languages? 1150 was "Magia," which is Spanish for "Magic." "La Grande" is Spanish for "The Big One."

Semoochie: Wow Yes! Forgot about the earlier "Cool". "Magic" No I thought of that. It doesn't work since "Magic 107" didn't change slogan, leaving "Magic" on 1290 or 1550. There also might have been a 2 week period when 1550 was "Mix" before simulcasting ended however. Alfredo: I was trying to find Spanish slogans that moved to other frequencies in the Portland market but could come up with any. I don't have all the different slogans of the past since you weren't around to inform us. I really depend on you to give us a heads up for changes.
