This would be the type of New York that would actually remind you a lot of the forested Northwest...Not likely what you were thinking... (My sister lives about 50 miles away from this area, and the Adirondacks ain't bad!)

Real Country had an affiliate in this area when I worked there...The locals are very nice folks!

Downside, the mosquitos are huge, winters are brutal, and NY tax rate is horrible.

Here's a chance to be your own Larry Bohnsack! The downside to this is that the station seems to be dark (Radio-Locator doesn't list any AM stations within local receiving range in Crown point). This might be a double-whammy in that a few FM signals are within local listening range. It may be difficult to get the Crown Pointers to return to AM.

EDIT: This station is most likely WIPS (1250 AM). This would be like buying a KLYC but in a much smaller market than McMinnville. Crown Point is a town of about 2200 people.
