The term "wireless" was in use in the UK since the early days. It is amusing how the marketing guys on this side of the ocean have just discovered it and are trying to make it synonymous with mobile phones and over-the-air computer networking. Spark graph telegraphy was "wireless," too--as is AM broadcast radio, shortwave radio (in a big way), CB radios, etc! |

Ya, but it is interesting that in the UK they refer to Cell phones as ' Mobile ' phones. They actually just refer to them as 'My Mobile"...pronouncing it MoE BILE...or " The MOEBILE"... |
