Which CBS station might Entercom be interested in? How about KUFO?

Kufo? Heck no, They want KINK. I'm guessing its Kink, and If I was a betting man, I would bet KINK.

Yes, KINK would make sense, except that would leave K-Hits without Dennis! I would expect the two stations to be sold together, and Entercom wouldn't be allowed to take both. However, anything could happen.

I came up with something awful the other day... here's the short version. Entercom Portland currently has 2 class "C" stations (92.3 KGON and 97.1 KYCH), 2 class "C1" stations (99.5 KWJJ and 105.1 KRSK), and a class "C2" station (94.7 KNRK). CBS Radio Portland currently has 3 class "C" stations (101.1 KUFO, 101.9 KINK, 106.7 KLTH), 1 class "C0" that's virtually the same as the "Cs" due to tower height (107.5 KXJM), and one "C1" (98.7 KUPL) According to the FCC's website, one owner can own up to 8 stations in a market, and up to 5 on either AM or FM. (I'm fairly sure the Portland radio market has 45+ commercial stations, considering the outlying stations.) In total, that's 5 class "C" FM stations. However, on the other side of the speculation spectrum:
Originally posted on radioandrecords.com, Aug 04, 2008 Entercom Q2 Loss Increases To $96M By Jeffrey Yorke Entercom reported a $96.3 million ($2.60 per share) second quarter loss Monday (Aug. 4) compared to a $12.5 million (32-cent per share) loss during the same period in 2007. Net revenues slipped slightly to $123.8 million from $125 million. The Philadelphia-based radio company said its adjusted net income rose to $16.4 million (44 cents per share) from $14.7 million (38 cents per share) in the same time a year ago. [...] "I am pleased to report that Entercom achieved strong growth in both free cash flow and adjusted net income per share during the quarter," said Entercom president and CEO David Field in a statement. "And, in the face of difficult and deteriorating general economic conditions that have significantly impacted earnings from a broad range of consumer-facing businesses, I am also very pleased by Entercom's second quarter operating results. Third quarter results will reflect declining business fundamentals, but looking ahead, radio broadcasting is well positioned for resumed growth. Radio listenership in the U.S. reached an all-time record this past year and radio is the most cost-effective major advertising medium in the nation."

They might not be moving but the format might be. I've been hearing talks about an all spanish 94.7. They will still be playing all the exact same artists EXCEPT they will be in spanish. So instead of hearing "somebody Told me" by The Killers you will be hearing the spanish version of "Somebody told me." The jocks will still stay the same, except their talk breaks will be dubbed over with spanish speaking people. The only one who wont have their talked breaks dubbed over in spanish is Gustav, oddly enough he will be speaking in german.
