...SALES IS EASY... If you keep the customers best interest in mind. If you are honest, fair, and straight forward. If you realize that service is just as important as the sale. If cultivating a long term relationship with a client is more important than squeezing them for every last nickel. If your manager knows that no matter how attractive the offer and persuasive the proposal, some will not buy. If the manager recognizes the efforts of the sales staff, sets realistic, achievable goals, creates a positive environment, knows when to coach, and when to let the players play. There is no one way to sell. There are some proven techniques that improve the chances to close a sale, and there are pitfalls that can ruin a potential sale. Those can be taught. The best way to find out whether a place is first class or a hell hole is sit in on a couple of sales meetings. If they are screamfests about lack of effort, more, more, more, and sell today or gone tomorrow, then that is not a positive environment. If the meeting sets goals, has a gameplan, creates a fun, competitive environment, and offers support and encouragement, then you have an atmosphere that breeds success.

KCUP says it broadcasts in HD. Do I need a special receiver to pick it up? We have another home just north of Depoe Bay and I've never been able to pick up the station. Its sister station, BOSS 100.7, is a great station. Pat O'Leary is a familiar voice from the past. K103, KEX weekends?

Can you dig it? What station caught so much grief That the entire thread was pulled? BOSS! Right On! They say this Place BOSS is a bad mother... SHUT YOUR MOUTH! I'm talkin' 'bout BOSS. I bought a new bananna cup for my jock briefs this summer. Is that possibly the cup we are talking about here?

Actually, it was the cup that came with the briefs. I was going out to umpire a baseball game this summer, and with my old compression pants with cup holder no longer useable, I ended up with the jock briefs I found at a Wal*Mart. (This is definately more interesting than any discussion about KCUP. And yes, I am "sportin'." I'd send a picture, but I'd never be able to fit it on the album cover. Probably play jump rope with it though.)

I have no clue! I have a friend who works in Eugene radio who said he heard it was rumored to be for sale. Would be a great little station with the right management. I am curious too!
