Ron Kramer, who is writing the book on the history of Oregon Broadcasting, E-Mailed me about not being able to make any contact with the person running Yesterday's KPTV website. Ron needs clearance on pictures he'd like to include in the book. Here's Ron's E-Mail: _______________________________________________________________ Craig Can you please do me a favor? I have had no response from the guy who is the webmaster at Yesterday's KPTV website and the OAB's request to current KPTV management to intervene has also produced nothing. As a result, I am having a hard time finding illustration material for KPTV which, as Oregon's first TV station, really should have a good photo representation in the book. The kind of thing I'm looking for is precisely what is on the website except that I can't find those photos anywhere else. The guy must have gotten them either from previous KPTV management or from some monster collection he inherited from a former KPTV staffer. That said, I have to believe there are other photos out there - I just can't find them. (Don't get me wrong. I have all of the large early published brochures which KPTV put out, photos from which are also on the website, and I can use those.) What I can't find are good photos of some of the early staff and programs in production. Can you put out something on pdxradio.com and ask if anyone has any ideas where photos of early KPTV programs and staff might be found? Thanks..
