AWwwww damn, Just when I was thinking of eating there.....NOT! They have like the worst food I think I have ever dun et! Anyone giving any odd's on how long until the one at Jantzen Beach goes tits up!

Everything there is so tasty... and the food wan't bad either!

Conan O'Brien actauly mentioned Beaverton in a joke the other night. It went something like this:

"Hooters restaurants have said they are closing their location in Beaverton, Oregon. Yeah... but they're keeping open their location in nearby viginaville!"

I had never thought about it before, but the town name "Beaverton" must sound funny to out-of-towners who hear it for the first time.

The food is disgusting and the girls are annoying. If I want good food, I'll go to a great restaurant, if I want to see naked women I will go to a strip club.

Hooters SUCKS! Its about damn time they closed that place.

The drunken frat house atmosphere only worked in the 80's...in Miami, Tallahassee, Gainesville, and Jacksonville.

The women were good lucking and the food was "B" Not as good as Dan Marino's joint on the canal. Good looking waitresses and Great food. A touchdown pass!

Never been to Hooters anywhere else or since. I never thought that would work in Oregon, anyway.

I had some friends that bartended there, so visited it often. Dan was there as often as not, and was always very nice. He was very good at remembering names, considering the many people he met. That always impressed me.

And yes, the food was much better than Hooter's or Calico Jack's.

I think I found the reason Hooters has struggled in Portland: inability to find enough young women here who meet this criteria (from the handbook):

"No other body piercing [besides ears] is to show. Tongue piercing is not allowed...Tattoos are not allowed to show. The Hooters Girl uniform must cover all tattoos."

How the hell can you find women like that in Portland who are also willing to dress and act like a "Hooters" girl? Almost impossible! I think girls have to get a tattoo and/or piercing here before you can graduate from high school. Or it sure seems that way...

Both of my daughters pushed for those things huge. The biggies are the belly button piercing (which looks for all the world to hurt like no other), and the ankle, shoulder, small of back and neck tattoos.

I agree Andrew, and Im wondering if the wages are really that great for these girls. Teenage guys make up a core of the restaurants audience. Drunk frat guys who probably don't tip very well.

The last time I was at a Hooters(which was the only time) I sat right next to a bunch of stupid frat guys who were completely shit faced and screaming out "Show me your tits" the entire time. As I was leaving, they were escorted out.
I wanted to tap them on the shoulder and say "Try a strip Club dumb ass, if you want to see boobs." Im sure the food is much better at strip clubs than at Hooters. I had an awesome Steak dinner when I was at Stars a few years back. Nothing like looking at some "waterballoons while eating a delicious steak dinner with mashed potatoes, and even a slice of carrot cake for dessert

This isn't the only part of the country they're struggling. Remember, they closed down pretty much everything in New England. Doing great in the South though.

Has anyone ever flown Hooters Airlines? I was surprised to see that it was real in 2006. I don't think I was hallucinating.

Yes, Hooter Airlines existed, although not sure they are still flying. They used to serve airports that nobody else would fly to, like Gary, Indiana. Honest.

Girls Gone Wild also had their own airline. Im not sure if it still exsists. I know the owner of Girls Gone Wild was in jail, but I'm not sure if he is out or not.
