Like him or dislike him, Lars keeps growing and he's putting Portland in the spotlight while doing so. Here's his latest advancement, reported by R&R: ---------------------------Lars Live In L.A.--------------------------- By Mike Stern Westwood One syndicated host Lars Larson goes live in Los Angeles, grabbing the 3-6 p.m. PT slot on Mt. Wilson FM Broadcasters talk KGIL, starting Monday, Aug. 4. Larson replaces Talk Radio Network host Michael Savage, who moves to 10 p.m.-midnight. Following Larson, from 6-7 p.m., will be fellow Westwood One host Larry King. Fox News Radio's Alan Colmes stays in the 7-10 p.m. slot.

Anything that bumps Savage into the shadows is fine by me. Go get 'em, Lars.

Good luck to him...KGIL is one of the lowest rated stations in L.A., and there are lots of 'em. He's got his work cut out for him in that crowded field.

I gotta agree with Eastwood. So far Lars has been good about not picking on people that can't fight back!

Wait, I'm having a hard time following that... It's been a bad week for ol' Savage. His comments about autism make him look like an absolute monkey. What I like about Lars, beyond the obvious work ethic and radio professionalism, is his awareness that most of his listeners disagree with him, at least in Portland. So he makes his case, rather than wallowing in slurs and ignorance. I still disagree with most of his positions and wish he'd quit calling people cowards for declining to appear on his show; he's better than that. He's much stronger when he deals maturely with dissenters.

. . . wish he'd [Lars Larson] quit calling people cowards for declining to appear on his show; he's better than that. Well Mr. Larson, how about it?
