"Worst Station In Portland" Based on what? Your opinion? OK. So buy the thing, and change it to whatever you want.

When did Radiohustla pull the plug on the use of question marks and capital letters? I think that anyone who abuses the English language so dramatically should be banned from this site. There is no such thing as a "hustla"- the word is "hustler"! I've never understood why anyone thinks it's cool to borrow the mispronunciation techniques of street thugs. Oh wait... I forgot. It's "hard out there for a pimp"!

Your opinion? OK. So buy the thing, and change it to whatever you want. No Problem Chap, it only costs what?? 3 or 4 million. Thats chump change. As far As Z100 goes, they play the most god-awful CRAP on the planet for music, but at least they have a full airstaff unlike jammin.

You probably want to add at least 1 zero to that total!

Except for the pitched up music, Z100 is sounding fine! They have a full staff, and the music is where it should be. It's Jammin' that needs to hire an afternoon show, and further evolve the music variety!

If I could buy it for three or four million, I'm sure I'd have investors! But I think your figure is way, way low. I can't find the evidence to back up my claim though. Anyone else have info on the value of a single major market FM's value? It's just that I can't imagine it's value being less than it could bill in just one year. Even if every spot only cost $100, and they only ran eight spots per hour, that would ad up to over seven million dollars per year in "traditional ad revenue" alone.

When I said "add at least 1 zero", I wasn't kidding. The construction permit that began as a Class C3 and is now The Fish, went for about $35 million! The physical property of Z100 alone, not figuring in its success, would go for much more than that!

...more than a construction permit! I'm guessing they have little trouble selling advertising for the demo they're trying to reach.

"Z-100 is the worst station in Portland. When will Clear Channel pull the plug? Or will it stay the same?" In re: to pulling the plug~ Think back to 2000. Unless you were way too busy partying like it was 1999, you probably couldn't have helped but hear their hyped-up false promises of a "new and improved Z-100" they were making pre-2000 (or however they tooted their own horn.) But then again, the turn of a century (for most people, anyways) and the subsequent celebrations only happen once in a lifetime so there's little time to pay anything else any mind...........
