What station would you consider the most beat up and bitched about during the history of this message board? I'm going to say it's a possible three way tie between Z100 and Jammin(old and new Jammin)and the now legendary retired "Da Boss" thread.

I remember when the site went down due to going over-bandwidth in March(?) 2002, when the last rendition of "the death of Z100" took place, along with KPTV being sold to Meredith.

Now what about most bitched about radio personality in the Portland market? Newflyer what is your thoughts? I won't let anything on other than its the personality who ultimately led me to this site in the first place. I just want to here Newflyer agree with me on the same personality who is really not someone who is talked about around here anymore.

KPAM used to get negative feedback. I guess they've turned a corner. Perhaps?

I'd say the most complained about personality on this board is/was Marconi. By a mile.

I agree with Z100 being in the top radio station spot.

Marconi may be the #1 complained about personality, but I would think that Lars Larson or Bill O'Reilly must be on his heels at the #2 spot.

Well, another "fave" personality has to be Brad Dolbeer on KHITS. He must have photos of someone in bed with a goat!

Brad is a very competent midday type personality. He is not supposed to be "Mr. Excitement" although I'm sure he could be if he wanted. I believe he is still MD and APD, in addition.

I'd have to agree: KLYC has been the most complained-about station on this board. The reason? Probably because:

(1). KLYC remains independently owned... a rarity.

(2). It pumps out 1KW at 1260khz. Always a plus.

(3). The studios and xmtr are located out of the PDX megaplex, but within the population-base of the burgeoning 'wine country' of Yamhill County.

(4). Somebody with relatively deep pockets could "buy it right". Larry's had his fun and isn't getting any younger. 'Nuff said.

So, KLYC is an enigma to us. It's got a good dial-position, a strong signal, twin sticks with a good ground system, etc. But it's underutilized and that's just maddening.

In the total history of this board (beginning in the late 90s), Z100 is clearly the most bitched about station. When CC bought Jacor, Z100 was seen by us locals as the tangible sacrifice of real radio to the corporate gods. Plus, Z100 went through a long identity crisis starting when Jammin' signed on the air. Z100 takes the cake. In the last few years though, it's probably been KXL.

Not Really. Others have been complained about more.
Other than Z100, Movin is one that has been bitched about, particularly the last year or so. Several CBS stations and CC stations have had more bitching than KXL.

Looking back at that list, that's an awful lot of people being dissed by association.
