Came across some info tonight... the .2 network is coming to kptv/kpdx. Basically they have the rights to sony entertainment's library and will be airing a lot of movies.

Great compliment in my opinion to a traditional station. Keep the viewers on you and not the competition even if its a subchannel.

Well, they sure have been taking their merry time bringing 2 Network to the air here.....the Wikipaedia page I read a while back (so please take it for what it is worth) stated it had a "tentative premiere date for sometime in July".

Consider, now, that I have been scanning (and re-scanning) channels 30 & 48 since the end of June and now it's practically August. That's on the Pansat and the Panasonic, by the way.

The table of stations given on the 2 Network's web page for Oregon says KPTV-KPDX, but the link shown goes to KPTV's page. (Naturally, KPTV's page gives no indication of it either.) Maybe the deal fell through? Or maybe they are already on the air and I just haven't come across it yet? (I am at Shari's at this moment, having dinner, and won't have access to my receivers until way after midnight when I get off work.)

OK, someone had to say it: Is that the rating they're hoping to achieve?

Beats the heck out of me.......

Reprogramming channels 30 and 48 (for ballast, really) on both receivers last night turned up no sign of the 2 Network.

Maybe they could be having "must carry" problems with Comca$t?
