What a great arrangement! I like Bobby. I was in a discussion the other day and we concluded that the most heard finger picked tune in any given acoustic guitar store is Blackbird.

Bobby rules! Hadn't heard this work before. I like vocals period. The human voice is a great instrument. Seeing it used like this is just pure fun.

Here is a piece by Nina Simone which I came across recently and fell in love with. The song was used as the basis of a motion graphics class assignment, and the visual fits wonderfully. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJA69C6SlRk

That is super cool Ed. A classic for sure. Missing I'm with you I simply love great vocalists of all calibers. I'll even watch the singers on TBN just to hear them sing. I don't care for much else or even the songs, but a good singer will always catch my ear. It can be the guy or gal on the street. If they have the chops, they have my ear.

I liked it too. Good link Ed. That woman is just amazing. Another one I had not heard before. Chris, I particularly like the guy on the street, when it happens. There is a special spark to unassisted vocal music. Maybe pick a good location, maybe just be on the corner. When somebody does it right, it just cuts through everything and connects. Like any classic entertainment form, it's a window into the mind where we let another paint emotions, pictures, places and ideas.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_H3IR6XBRI There I was on a july morning Looking for love With the strength Of a new day dawning And the beautiful sun At the sound Of the first bird singing I was leaving for home With the storm And the night behind me And a road of my own With the day came the resolution Ill be looking for you La la la la I was looking for love In the strangest places Wasnt a stone That I left unturned Must have tried more Than a thousand faces But not one was aware Of the fire that burned In my heart, in my mind, in my soul La la la la There I was on a july morning I was looking for love With the strength Of a new day dawning And the beautiful sun And at the sound Of the first bird singing I was leaving for home With the storm And the night behind me Yeah, and a road of my own

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y1PiHsS8LP8 This Duane Allman/Dickey Betts duet is an old favorite of mine. I sometimes think I'm the only one that ever played this track on the radio. It's a shame there isn't room for music like this in today's world of broadcasting. Maybe that's why I think radio today sucks. From the album Eat A Peach.
