What's interesting about this particular example (from 1984) is the "paying your bills automatically" stuff he mentions didn't really come of age until about a decade later!
Obviously, discussion of 80s computer commercials would not be even remotely complete without I/O from a certain Charlie Chaplin impostor. ;o)
[Alas, I have discovered to my dismay that the Search function on Youtube, for all practical purposes, is absolutely worthless and I couldn't find anything on there of the sort using various search strings I could think of. It's almost like IBM's "Little Tramp" commercials must have been lost in a time void or something.........But then again this isn't the first time I have had problems with Youtube either. It's like Youtube and I speak two different languages. Like trying to use BASIC on a machine that only knows freakin' Lisp!!
Even the IBM Archives show absolutely nothing!]
I was reminded of this commercial whilst having to sit through "Oliver!" at the Auditorium a few years back, with my (now) ex-GF (yes, the quasi-neurotic Vegan of whom I have dropped a few unsavoury comments here in the past):

DT, LS: Thanks for the hot classic car links! You can tell where my head was while watching the Corvair commercial...when I saw the blonde, all I could think was "Isn't that sand burning her feet?" 
And now it's time for the car that's truly new, from the nameplate to the taillights.
I'm doing an engine swap in one of these right now - that's what has been keeping me from the board recently.
My commuter car is going to get some new crankshaft bearings soon, because believe it or not it's getting me 25mpg!
