Absolutely agreed. Make no mistake, I think he's a nut-bag, but I also cannot rule out that he's a victim of the authoritarian dogma he subscribes to. Perhaps, he can reach his own level of self-acceptance, and build a real life from there.
He's not there yet. Call this program denial empowerment and support, and it's probably close to the mark. Close enough to make a person wonder why even bother.
It's a whole lot easier to just be who you are, than it is to try to be somebody that others think you should be.
Maybe someday he can get this and be at peace.
