Don't know why the FCC does not give AM's full class power on some new/changed location facilities...annoying... |

At night too much signal towards the 1340 in N. Bend thus the 500 watts. |

Is he going to put it on the air and sell it or simulcast with KRCO to get a good night time coverage of Bend. |

I was under the impression local channels aren't protected at night. In any event, Bend should be far enough away from North Bend for this to not be an issue. What about Corvallis? That's much closer! |

Still have to not contribute a certain percentage of interference to a stations Nighttime Interference Free contour. Looks like N. Bend has a lower NIF than most others around, since they don't have anyone to the west contributing to the interference level. Skip distance is optimal too. |

Perhaps, I'm mistaken. I understood that there was no protection given to local channels at night other than the mileage requirements set up for daytime protection. They must accept any interference from licensed broadcasters. |

NIF stands for "Nighttime Interference Free contour." I had to look this up, so I must renounce my membership in the FCC engineering club. |

back to the question about keith owning stations in bend oregon,,he does, 5 through horizon broadcasting group. I am concerned that he is branching off in summit broadcasting group without his seattle investors knowledge,,they have been waiting patiently for a return on their investment,,also this venture into summit broadcasting group is a breach of his non compete clause, i'm pretty sure of that. H R for Horizon, regan brick and sales mgr brian canady are part of this new venture too. |

I just talked with someone from the station. He said it is scheduled to start up August 11th and will be a talk station. He told me that the line up includes Sean Hannity (who was on KBND, tape delayed, until last month). |
