You know, I liked Cavemen too. I know it caught a ton of crap - but I liked it.

Arrested Development will be missed forever by me. COME ON!

Lou Grant and WKRP in Cincinnati.

These favorite shows of mine were not canceled for low ratings, but because outspoken cast members donated money to a medical charity in El Salvador.

I still love the legendary Edward Asner and Oregon native Howard Hesseman. The spineless weasels at CBS? Not so much.

Arrested Development went way too early. It's kind of a commentary on our society most people didn't get it or didn't take the time to get it. If you paid attention, it paid off for you.

SledgeHammer was a great tv show that was only on for a few seasons. I remember it started out in the 8pm time slot, than they moved it to the 9pm timeslot, then they moved it to the 10Pm time slot, than 10:3pm time slot then it was canceled. It was a pretty violent and edgy show back than in the mid 80's. The dialouge was absolutely HILARIOUS! I recently bought season 1 and 2 of Sledgehammer and it is so damn funny!

When I was in high school, ABC had some interesting shows on Friday nights:

Hi Honey, I'm Home!
and
Capitol Critters

I don't think that either of these lasted more than one season.

Parker Lewis Can't lose. I loved that show, it was on Fox in the early 90's.

Full House- yes that tv show was canceled for low ratings! And what about Doogie Howser MD? If I remember corectly that show just kind of ended and I believe it was because of low ratings.

I forgot about Parker Lewis Can't Lose. That was a fun show. Didn't that show feature a young Ian Suppley sp?

What about Erie PA
or
The Adventures of Briscoe County

ditto on Deadwood ( I wanna see a feature film or at least a made for HBO movie that presents some sort of closure to the series). Was not Deadwood also a creation of the same guy as Soprano's?

Ha!

I spent a major part of my senior year, starting Nov. 1st, at home by 9:00 PM on Friday and Saturday nights for months, punishment for sneaking out to a Halloween Party that was incredible; kegs, a band, fantastic costumes, etc...so good that it was worth every rotten weekend I spent alone with the TV. (no cable, no remote). No regrets!
