Art Bell sells his Pahrump, Nevada radio station KNYE to its General Manager, Karen Jackson. Jackson took over as GM in June 2006 after Art Bell's wife Ramona Bell died on Jan 5, 2006. This is not a shock to Art Bell fans who have listened to him in the past. He wasn't running the radio station. Ramona Bell was KNYE's GM. Art & Romona were both in radio when they met. The FCC construction permit in 2000 listed only: Ramona Lee Hayes-Bell which later was re-licensed as Pahrump Radio, Inc. and signed on the air November 19, 2001. Karen Jackson & Romona were friends so Art felt he could trust her while he was in Philippines with his new wife. This from R&R: Nevada KNYE-FM/Pahrump PRICE: $600,000 TERMS: Asset sale for cash BUYER: Karen Jackson. It owns no other stations. This represents its entry into this market.
