Brooke Communications has blown up Roseburg's original radio station, 1490 KRNR (Classic Country)...to launch "The Score" (ESPN Sports) 1490 KSKR and 101.1 KSKR-FM! The Oldies format, "Cool FM" is also gone! |

Why do two radio stations need to get blown up to do this? It would make sense if the two stations complemented each other's coverage areas. However, the AM station service area fits inside the FM station service area. |

950 in the 'burg traversed very poorly due to lack of maintenance on the transmitter and tower for at least a decade before being purchased by JPR. |

I was thinking of the old days. I'd pick up KYES right after Cottage Grove and be able to listen until KBOY started coming in. |
