Some presidents choose to retreat from the limelight, focusing on their libraries and making a few bucks. Some engage the world and win the Nobel Peace Prize. But to complain about the Clinton’s seems more like obsession than anything else. For good or ill, they’ll receive top billing in the hearts of many Americans. Just like Herb and old Dick Nixon, there are a few of us who like Bill and Hillary Clinton. As to when they’ll recede from the political landscape, wait a couple decades. Hillary Clinton is still a United States Senator in the midst of her second term. One cannot forget that she received nearly 18 million votes this primary season. Not too shabby I must say. And Bill Clinton is very adept at raising money for charitable causes and dispensing advice to those who will listen. Too, he doesn’t come cheap as a paid speaker. Groups pay VERY big money to listen to the man from Hope.
Rumor was that Bill Clinton was going to run for Mayor of New York City. Now that would be funny.
