Nice link CJ. It's like a please vote against your own interests drug.

I know that fear triggers fight or flight mode. That's real fear, not just some lower level scary, but you can still think about it.

One difference for me is being able to remain detached from the fear. If that's the case, then rational thought rules. If, on the other hand, you can visualze yourself as part of the thing to fear, caught up in it, then it's fight or flight.

The beauty of that lies in that projected fear is not something we normally run away from, so we fight and associating that vote or action with fighting, even if it's by proxy as in "vote for bob, he's a Republican fighter, fighting for Americans who need fighting for", then it's gonna resonate pretty huge.

Snake oil, chicken shit, lying, bastards that use this. All of them.
