It'll probably just be another exercise in futility, but the more information like this makes it into the media the more the rest of the 23% will finally admit we were misled into an unnecessary invasion of Iraq. |

George W. Bush and Dick Cheney should have been impeached by the US House and found guilty in the US Senate for high crimes and misdemeanors and removed from office. If having sex and then lying about it warranted Clinton’s impeachment, then lying repeatedly to the American people about the need for war coupled with the senseless killing of thousands of US troops and Iraqi citizens should warrant the harshest punishment possible. George W. Bush and Dick Cheney should both be rotting away in Leavenworth, Kansas. |

When the Democrats do have control of both the executive and the US Congress, it will be interesting to see just how much money Dick Cheney’s former employer Halliburton has fleeced from the American taxpayer. If Harry S Truman was able to investigate war profiteers as a member of the US Senate during World War 2, then why shouldn’t members of the next US Congress do the same? I mean really, this war has lasted longer than World War 2 and cost nearly a trillion dollars. It’s time for a full scale investigation – so when there is a legitimate need to go to war, we know what not to do. |

Born-again Christians hitched their wagon to the most failed and corrupt presidency since Warren G. Harding, that being of course George W. Bush. They’d follow this man to the gates of hell if he asked them. It amazes me to no end how these people can behave like sheep. They place their fate in the hands of people who have acted in such unchristian fashion, yet they continue to serve as his biggest apologist and cheerleader. It’s appalling – and it shows a deep level of ignorance which doesn’t speak well to the born-again Christian set. If I were a born-again Christian with a brain, I’d be both embarrassed and mortified at how my religious movement could have been so royally duped. |

Maybe I need some serious couch time with the shrink as well. Obama is not the Messiah, but he’s much better suited to be president that than lightweight currently in office or the presumptive Republican nominee. After eight years of the current monstrosity, Obama will be like Heaven on Earth. Obama might not be perfect, but he possess something the current office holder seem to be desperately lacking, a brain. When I hear George W. Bush speak, it’s like listening to a drunk after his 5th boilermaker. Nothing but nonsensical dribble coming out of his mouth. |

Abraham Lincoln was a self taught lawyer with time in the Illinois state legislature and the US House of Representatives when he became president. So to contend that you need a resume full of experience doesn’t cut it. Look at George H. W. Bush, probably the best prepared person to be president considering the length of his resume yet his presidency wasn’t much of a success. There is a good deal more to leading than a polished political resume. Look at the presidential greats and it’s a good deal more than resume; depth of character, vision and leadership ability. |

What's interesting is that back in the 80's there was the same hate Reagan spirit from the liberial community as there is today hating Bush...and now Reagan is considered (now that's he's passed on) to be one of the greatest Presidents of all time...what gives? |

I didn’t realize so many Reagan Administration officials found themselves in trouble with the law. The way Reagan apologists spin it, his administration held to the highest ethical standards. But then I remember people like Jim Watt, Debra Gore Dean, Samuel Pierce and Richard V. Allen among others. And of course the Iran-Contra Affair and those nationally televised hearings. It makes me wonder about the character of people who enter public life then abuse the privilege. Most of these folks seem to get a slap on the wrist. I’m sure once they’ve served their time, friends and acquaintances find them work without regard for their conduct in public life. |

I can remember when former President Ronald Reagan landed in southern California sometime after the inauguration of George H. W. Bush. He was greeted by some old time Hollywood types and the USC Marching Band. While on a modified reviewing stand, someone had him put on an oversized Etruscan helmet. Needless to say, the former president’s advance men had not vetted the arrival ceremony and Reagan looked pretty foolish. Where was Michael Deaver when he needed him? |

Reagan had a genius of a lead image maker during his first term – his deputy White House Chief of Staff Michael Deaver. He understood stagecraft better than nearly anyone in modern politics in the 1980’s (or modern history for that matter). If you look at Reagan's second term and some of the public relations blunders that followed, you'll see how much Deaver was missed. |
